Here I am preparing the turkey for the oven. It was my first time making one all by myself. (with IH's help, of course!)
I needed Miss C's help, too, so she decided to hang around for a while and give me some tips. She's such a good girl.
And notice the wine glass in the background. IH decided to have a glass after I opened a bottle to add to the turkey's butter mixture. I think it was 10a.m.

I'm so glad everyone showed. Thanksgiving is all about family, after all! Even Sam, his dad, and little bro came! Everyone pitched in and we had a fabulous feast! The best part? The apple pie Erica brought, and IH's concoction of pumpkin pie with homemade whipped cream and french vanilla ice cream on top. Probably the best thing I've tasted in 2 years.

I tried three times to get these guys to smile with their eyes OPEN! They're so cute, though--even with their eyes CLOSED!
Thanks for all your work, Mom! I appreciate it all! Your stuffing was still good--condensed broth and all! And I think the little girlie in your arms loves you very much, indeed, so you should have no worries at all...
