couch potatoes

One potato is sick with a cold and couldn't possibly go to school because he was "up all night sneezing and now has a tummy ache" and the other potato is simply following the leader. They're watching Scooby Doo, so whatever. I used to love Scooby as a kid, and although they're watching some newer version of it, it's still the same deal--there's a monster and the monster ends up being someone they've been working with and at the end that someone gets mad at those pesky kids and meddling dog. But they're so enthralled with it--it's funny. Sebbie didn't even want to go upstairs to get his Advair for fear of missing a minute or two. Maybe that's just laziness. Maybe I would've heard that complaint if The Situation Room was on. Probably.

Anyway--I just love that my kids are such kids and love to watch cartoons and play with action figures and romp around outside and come in smelling like the sun.

I love it. I really love it.

So I'll let these taters hang out for a while. But only a while. I don't want them to start taking root on my couch just sitting there.

*The funny thing about this picture is that Ethan's head blends in with the mountain of toys in the background. He really is there!
