Things I am passionate about:
1. my family--Obviously, they are #1. I want only the best for them and would give my life for them. They have given my life more meaning than I ever thought possible. They're imperfect and they are perfect just the way they are.
2. life--I try everyday not to take anything for granted because someday--any day--could be my last. Life is so beautiful in all of its ups, downs, turns, and strange backward moments where you find yourself going, WTF is going on here??? It's ALL beautiful--even the parts that hurt, because that's what it means to be human--to experience sadness and grief while being able to simultaneously love the living daylights out of someone. I am ever so grateful for this gift.
3. improving myself--kinda weird, but true. I'm constantly trying to better myself. There's soooo much room for improvement, and it's not easy, but I know I'm a better person than I was 5 years ago. Because I've consciously tried. Not that I was bad, per se, but I like me better today than ever before.
4. the arts--music, films, photography, museums, drawing/painting...
I credit all of these for deep inspiration at one moment or another in my life. Plus, I naturally gravitate toward stuff like that. I was the wannabe actor in high school, the drawing-class-taker in college, and the creative writing pupil eager for class to start every day. I even wanted to be a docent a couple of years ago. I actually went to the museum and got all the information, only to find out it's a very long process and that didn't sit very well with myself or the fam. Maybe someday. In 10 years I'd probably still be the youngest docent there.
(For some reason they're mostly elderly ladies in their 60's. Soooo....what does that say about me??)
And finally,
5. chocolate--because it's the most fantastic tasting substance on the planet. And it makes me happy.

Thanks so much!! I'm really glad I got in touch with you because I can't begin to tell you how refreshing it is to find someone who bares a ton of similarities with me. Did you know that I minored in Art History at ASU? I too thought about becoming a docent toward the end of my 4 years there. Sometimes, I still think about it.
Oh, I guess I didn't rate getting one....darn.
