Things I could've done without today:
* The hour and a half oil change with 3 kids running on apple slices and water. There should be some sort of rule that if you see a mommy with 3+ kids in tow, then her car is immediately moved to the front of the line. I mean, I know those guys couldn't give 2 shits, but is it too much to ask to help a mama out and hurry the service up???
* The 3rd and 4th cookie at my mom's house. It's not my fault, really. Those Costco cookies look really healthy--and so I tell myself they are. Then I keep eating and remember I only told myself that and look on the box to discover my serving size is 1. Who in the world eats only 1 cookie at a time? Certainly not I.
Things I'm grateful for today:
* Seeing my mom and Dabada. I love how my mom opens up her entire house to us, especially the kitchen. She is gracious and talks about plants. I think she loves them. And I love her.
*Having Sebbie sit on my lap. Those days are numbered, I tell ya, and I don't take them for granted. I got to smell the sun in his hair while I closed my eyes and remembered him at 3-years-old, taking my face in his hands, and telling me I was the most beautiful girl in the world.
* Singing "Any Man of Mine" to Sebbie in the car - he thought it was a funny song and I thought he was so cool when he laughed about the lyrics..."Any man of mine better disagree when I say another woman's looking better than me...and when I cook him dinner and I burn it black, he'd better say, mmmm I like it like that!"
* The clean kitchen when I got home....all because I wasn't my usual lazy self and actually did the dishes last night! It most certainly pays off...
