A Few of My Favorite Things (FMM)

Since Kasey from All That is Good is still vacationing, Mamarazzi at Dandelion Wishes is hosting today's Friend Makin' Mondays and I think she did a fabulous job!

I still have a whole vacation's worth of blogging to do since I got lazy up north and never once opened up the laptop except to download pics. Yes, I still blog. Yes, I will get back to it this week. And no, I'm not ashamed that I let it go for over a week!!! Maybe a little...

So here goes my first entry in way too long...forgive me if I misspell. It's been a while.

List 5-10 of your favorite things! These can be things you think everyone must have, a collection of things you have, or some product or miracle invention that has changed your life...it's YOUR list of favorite things...HERE are a SOME of mine (with pictures...you don't need to add pics if you don't wanna)!!

1. Ciao Bella raspberry sorbet. It's frozen, it's sweet, it's sour, it's perfection in a pint.

If you haven't tried it, you're missing out bigtime. 

2. Mrs. Meyer's All-Purpose cleaner in lemon verbana scent. I actually can't wait to mop my floors 'cause I know my whole house will smell like this when I'm done. And it's earth-friendly. Bonus and gravy.

3. My camera. It's huge and bulky, but I've lusted after it for so long and now that it's  mine, the infatuation hasn't diminished a bit. I'm not one of those girls, yunno....

4. Toblerone. A goal of mine is to travel to Switzerland just to buy one of those huge 3-foot-long candy bars. Not the big 14 ounce ones you can buy at Walmart, but the gigantic one that takes two arms to hold. I would eat all of it if Bobby didn't insist on me sharing. Which he would.

5. When my kids feel proud of themselves. Especially when they accomplish something they were sure they couldn't (like all the math facts they did yesterday. I heard groans and "I don't get this" at first, but those were soon gone and in their place were, "Look Mommy! I finished all these sheets already!!") Yes! Practice makes permanent!!!

6. Falling asleep to Bobby playing his guitar. Just last night he played me my Son Volt song. It was perfect and his voice is just so sweet.

7. Clemmie's pirate smile. 

8. Arizona monsoons. Huge, white clouds like explosions in the sky. Lightening from a distance, thunder overhead. Orange and red heavens, allowing the rain to fall.

(ok--lame attempt at poetry. But they are gorgeous. Nothing like them.)

9. Dinner at Haji Baba Middle Eastern food in Tempe. The chicken shawerma wrapped in a warm pita filled with tabouli, hummus, and jasmine rice is anything but the same ol', same ol'.  It is divine. Authentic. And the music is awesome...

10. Going to the beach with my family. One boy is digging a really deep hole, hoping to be buried in it, while the other is sleeping on a towel under the umbrella. Daddy is boogie-boarding while Mommy is feeding baby enjoying the ocean breeze. Sea salt is in the air and waffle cones are being made on the boardwalk. Dinner? Fish, of course!

Okay--so I tried to put pictures along with this post, and my font got all huge and weird on me. Anyone had that happen to them? What is up with that? I don't like blogger's picture uploader thing. It's weird, and why do I have to put them is reverse order???
