Oops. Wrong song.
Let's try this again.
That's more like it.
Valentine's Day began with the most beautiful morning. We all managed to get ready and be on the road by 6:10. Maybe Norah wasn't singing for us, but it was such a relief to get out the door that early and on time.
I made my entire family get up at 5:45 a.m. to drive to the top of a mountain.
See, I wanted to watch the sunrise with them. Corny as it may be, that was part of their Valentine's present. We've never done that before, and it was something I've always wanted to experience together. I packed bagels and cream cheese, fruit, and juice for breakfast. I hid their valentines in the back of the car to give to them after the show.
It was cold and breezy and I was a hero for bringing blankets along.
And best part? No complaining. They actually loved it and thought it was super duper.
Antici. Pation.
Nice and cozy snuggled with Daddy.
PHX
Proof that I was there.
After our sunrise show, we visited our parents and the boys gave them their valentines with a cupcake made by yours truly.
Then, lunch at Chipotle. mmm.....
Later, dinner was made by Incredible Husband. (okay, I basically made the chicken fried rice by myself, but still. It was his idea and he did cook the filets.)
Then finally, it was off to bed for the kiddos...
...and time for Bobby and I to exchange our valentines.
