In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday, Ethan entered a contest at school to create a new Dr. Seuss character and write a little poem about him/her.
He won! His prize was to eat lunch in the library with the other winners and then have a slice of cake to celebrate. He was so excited this morning and couldn't wait for lunchtime.
And today was extra-special because he got to wear his jammies to school! How cool is that for a bunch of 5-6 year olds?
Later in the day, I went to his class to read "Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are?" The kids were so cute - all sprawled out on the floor with blankies and pillows......eyes on me, waiting to start. It was so much fun. I left thinking,
I am so thankful that I have the ability to do this. To be there for these moments. I love being a stay-at-home-mom. It's not always lovey-dovey easy-peasy lemon squeezy, but it's always worth it.
Every single time.
AYKM??
This boy is the coolest.
Ben the Starmaker? How sweet is that? I love how his mind works.
Happy Birthday, Seuss Man!!
