So here goes.
10 things blogging has taught me:
1. Life should be documented.Whether through scrapbooking, writing in a really cute spiraled notebook, or blogging about it for all to see. Now, I don't blog about every event in our lives, and I know I've left out some important moments, but I've tried to include the good stuff. And I'll be so glad years from now that I did.
2. There are so many other moms out there that I can totally relate to without ever meeting in person. So cool.
3. I have to think of my layout backwards when uploading photos because Blogger sucks when it comes to that. I even number them on a piece of paper for easy reference. Not cool, Blogger!!
4. Speaking of....I'm obsessed with photos and photography now. Even starting my own side business with that - webblog coming soon!! Seriously, after taking so many photos to post on here, I've become fascinated with the photography world.
5. I don't like to post many pictures of myself on my blog. Kind of a weird one since my face is all over my Facebook. I have no rhyme or reason for this, just sorta happened that way.
6. Time won't give me time.....unfortunately. I have to reeeeeeally watch myself with how long I blog because I will write for about 20 minutes and then I check on other blogs for 60 more! It's just so hard to stop reading!!!
7. I am very inconsistent. I know this. I will blog for 2 weeks straight, then stop for 2 more. Time and again I tell myself that I will stop the sporadic blogging and actually stay on a schedule, but honestly, that just takes me to number 8.
8. I have blog guilt. If a few days go by and I haven't posted anything, I feel bad. I shouldn't - there's no reason to, but the guilt is there and the only thing that will extinguish it is a new post. Which leads me to number 9...
9. Clicking "Publish" feels so good. Almost up there with really good foot massage or a pint of raspberry Ciao Bella. I said Almost.
And the final "thing" blogging has taught me:
10. Writing is essential to my life. On here, on pads of paper in my car, in one of my 20 journals, on the backs of receipts, wherever....the little things matter almost all of the time and should be documented. Blogging is just another way for me to archive them.
And there you have it! My top 10!
P.S. It's April Fools Day!
I have to get my butt of this chair and go buy some ground turkey because I am making a yummy April Fool's dinner tonight! Can't wait for the boys to sit down for supper!
Ha!
