Dear So and So....Arizona Weather

Dear Arizona weather,

You have been wonderful this past week. Can you keep it up for at least one more so Clemmie can have a fantastic birthday party? I would most appreciate it. Thank you. By the way - I wasn't really complaining about the rain the other day, it's just that, sometimes I feel a little gloomy when the sky is grey so I just wanted some sunshine to help me feel better. That's all.

Cheers and cool breezes...

Dear Kids,

Mama has a lot to do today, and it would be so awesome if you guys just sat back and enjoyed the ride. WHAT THAT REALLY MEANS - is no complaining about going to yet another store. We will be going to quite a few, so be prepared. Bring your toys, books, or whatever. Just know that today is a car day.

I love you...

Dear Woofie,

If you would stop chewing Clemmie's favorite toys and her precious slippers Uncle Roy brought her from San Fran, then I would allow you to be inside a whole lot more. It's that simple. I buy you your own toys, but they mean nothing. What else can I do? Oh, and the pee/poop thing has got to go. I'm over it like you wouldn't believe. It's gross and it stinks and I don't think it's cool that you were JUST outside, yet come in to poop by my closet.

I want you to be an indoor doggie, so step it up!!

Dear Closet,

I guess you won't organize yourself. I've given you lots of time to prove me wrong, but seems like you're content being a mess. Fine. Be that way, then.

Dear Bobby,

Thank you for my love letter that you wrote on the plane. I always love receiving those. Every word was perfect and just what I needed to hear. You're the best thing that ever happened to me - selfless, patient, honest, sincere. And you work so hard! I know you don't want to, and I know that you'd rather be with us most of the time, but thank you for all that you do. Seriously - I don't say it all the time, but being a stay-at-home-mom is so important for the kids and it's all possible because of what you do everyday. I love you.

Dear Self,

The cracked nail polish look has never caught on, will never catch on, and is ugly. Plain and simple. Deni said it would take 2 minutes to wipe it off, so just do it already. You know you hide your fingers when you have to sign something. No need for embarrassment. Get it done and be rid of the shame.

Also - kudos for pulling off last night's April Fool's dinner. The kids were totally surprised, and found it hilarious!

"Cupcakes and Juice" for dinner. Seb thought THAT was the joke! Nope, after he smelled the frosting, he knew something was up! He caught on and enjoyed his meatloaf and mashed potato "cupcakes." The juice really fooled him, though! He tried taking a drink, only to have nothing come up the straw! Hmmm....maybe because it was Jell-O! Haha. They loved it.

Best "Fools" dinner, ever. Although after I added the steamed broccoli, Ethan would have to disagree. ;)

Dear Dad,

Thank you so much for coming over the other night and making the yummy lentils. We devoured them....even Clemmie, who ended up eating a few more jalapeƱos accidentally. And the dishes? You were my hero for doing that. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Love you.

Dear Mom,

Hang in there. I know it's tough seeing Richard like this, and we're praying for both of you. We'll be there today to see him and give him our love. You need to take care of yourself right now, too. Love you.

Dear Richard,

We all love you so much, and we know it's hard, but please try to hold on and get better. We are praying for you and hoping you make it out of there soon. We'll see you in a little while.
Love you.
