Late post about last weekend

T-Ball season is officially over.

ET had his last game on Saturday, and I'm kinda sad about it. He really liked t-ball--he never complained about going, and in fact was always excited when it was game day. It was quite a game, too, this last one, with random throws to the wrong base, kids running at inappropriate times, and ET giving us entertaining faces when he would see the camera covering mine. In other words--it was great--and great for picture taking.

And then, as if it couldn't get any more exciting, they were each rewarded with a gold trophy for hitting the ball and being good little team members. Ethan couldn't be more proud. He was so excited to show his brother, and after many pats on the back, he tucked it under his arm and tore open his snack pack and juice box given to him by one of the other moms. "Game? What game? I'm eating cookies, Mom." I'm pretty sure that's the thought that ran through his mind as I told him for the umpteenth time he had a good game. He seemed intently focused on that bag of cookies. Well, that and the trophy.

So T-ball ended up being a hit! No pun intended. Honestly.

This pose was all for me and my camera. Such a ham! Love it!

After Ethan's big day, we made our way to Seb's piano recital in the Foothills. We got lost for a while as we looked for the place, which made me covet a GPS device, but clever Incredible Husband found the way! Mom showed up to watch my little pianist, as did Grandpa, which really surprised Seb because he thought he couldn't make it. Somehow, when grandparents show up it just makes the night more special, and I know it made Sebbie feel great even with the butterflies that were rollerblading and jumping in his tummy. It was actually cute to witness the nervousness of a new performer; especially since the new performer was my boy! He was the 2nd player of the night, and when he got up to the microphone to announce his piece, he took the cutest, I mean coolest bow I have ever seen. So glad I got it on video.

"We Wish You A Merry Christmas" was his song, and although he had been playing it perfectly at home over and over again, he forgot a couple of notes near the end. He fixed it, though, and played it beautifully. We were so proud of him--and the best part? He was proud of himself.

Two proud boys on the same day? Priceless.
