Christmas cont.

Zoo Lights!

I love Zoo Lights. Although this year it wasn't quite complete without the mystical Edward Scissorhands score playing throughout the trees and bushes as it did years before, it was still a great Christmas treat. And the kids loved it. It was cold and filled with hundreds of families with the same idea as us--to get their kids out to see the famous lights before Christmas Eve. So it was crowded, and since I forgot a wrap at home, I had to bring the stroller in. Lovely loveliness. Pushing a stroller through Zoo Lights the night before Christmas Eve was nowhere near the madness of pushing a stroller through Disneyland during summertime, but it's semi-sorta close. We had fun, though, and the stroller was a non-issue since I had Incredible Husband there to help out. Yay for my hero!

I think we only stayed about an hour and a half, but in that time we saw what we needed to get our LED fill, and the kids were very content walking back to the car as I questioned their liking of this every-other-year tradition.

And I must admit, so was I.

One of the first displays we saw. Bobby was VERY impressed and embarrassed the boys with being over-the-top enthusiastic about every single insect hanging from the trees. He was hilarious in an obnoxious way and I love him for that.
One of my favorite trees.
Here's proof of the obnoxiousness! My Love, Incredible Husband showing Ethan some lighted bear or ox or something.
My favorite tree! It was so beautiful--this picture doesn't do it justice at all!
He just said my name!!!
Who?
Why, Jengo the Talking Giraffe, of course!
Didn't this giraffe used to be a girl???
