And so forth.
Because it's getting a little ridiculous.
It's hard because they are all really good books. They each serve a purpose in this particular moment in my life. Some are mere entertainment, while others are around as a handbook of sorts, being flipped through and highlighted like some sort of college text book. (Was I the only one that did that in college? Hey, I started school later in life than most, so school was REeeeeeALLLY cool to me, ok?)
Anyway, just for fun, here are the books that occupy the little time I devote to them:
Thought-provoking. This is the book I've been underlining, page-folding, and taking notes in. A must-read for parents of boys.
I seriously can't believe I haven't finished this one yet. It took me two days to read the first two--I couldn't put them down. I know once I pick it up again I'll be done in a day. But then my house will be in shambles and the kids most likely won't be fed.
Almost done with this one. So sad. So sad. So sad. I don't know the ending, but the beginning and middle have been nothing but heartbreak. Bust out the Kleenex.
I am really liking The Graveyard Book. I initially bought it for Sebbie a few months ago, but after reading the first few pages I wasn't sure it was appropriate for him. So I decided to read it first and see. It became evident after reading for 10 more minutes that he could totally read it and the book would not inflict treacherous nightmares on the boy. But, I still haven't finished it. Besides, he's reading the Series of Unfortunate Events books, and I think that's enough juvenile macabre to tide him over for a while.
This is one of those that sits on our table in the living room and gets picked up on long drives or road trips. We like to think we're teaching our kids good ol' fashioned morals while storytelling. Cool thing is, they actually enjoy them. If you pick up the right book, you'll get 100's of stories to choose from. Pretty cool. (Leave time for Q&A after each story. You'll be glad you did)
My reference book--for obvious reasons. When I need ideas on what to make Miss C, I turn to this book. My sis got it for me when I was prego, and I'm soooo grateful she did. I would never in my life consider making 1/2 the meals in this book and now I'm hooked. Succotash? WT?I'm Mexican, ok? All I knew about succotash is that it was some cartoon character's trademark line. And now my daughter loves it! Who knew?
So what books are YOU reading?

Well, I'm reading "Einstein," "Beautiful Boy," "Uncommon," "World Without End," and that's it, but isn't that enough? Oh yeah, and my bible, still trying to get through that.
I will definitely look into Raising Cain. Thank you! Right now I am reading a Club Vampyre. It's 3 books in one volume and I'm on the last one. I guess it's my way of rebelling against the Twilight series. Sad I know.
I wish there were really enough hours in the day to complete all the things we want to do. I am certainly someone who can never finish anything I start (ahem, painting my kitchen). :(
I'm reading about 4 different Jennifer Weiner books right now (no joke) in addition to Randy Pausch's The Last Lecture.
I was thinking of investing in audio books, that way I can listen to my favorite books while I drive.
Just finished "Guersney Literary and Potato Pie Society" and LOVED it!!
