We're all so excited, because we're not one of those families that sees every single movie right when it comes out. So it's kind of a big deal when we do go--it's definitely a treat. The only downside is that Bobby won't be with us, but I can't really complain since he did take off the entire afternoon yesterday and had lunch with Sebbie and I. "Dos Gringos" tacos? Not good. FYI.
So, now I've got to go candy shopping at Walgreens 'cause it's way cheaper than movie theater candy and quite frankly, that's how I roll, and I don't give a damn. But I do wonder if that's teaching my kids some sort of bad lesson like being sneaky is okay as long as you don't get caught. I mean I try--really try--to make sure my kids do the "right thing" in terms of honesty and ethics, and so can you just imagine how humiliated I would be if some concession person called me out on bringing "outside candy" in?
Thankfully there's no candy detectors, so I'm good there, but I still wonder...
I mean, it's not like I'm stuffing 2 large cherry "Icees" from Circle K in my purse and making each boy bring a backpack to hold their sub sandwiches and chips, right?
Not a bad idea, though...
I kid, I kid.

LOL Did you read my last blog??
You need to go to AMC they don't care if you bring a large pizza in!! You can bring anything!! Have fun!
Kirsty--OMG No! I just read it now! :-)
Too funny--great minds...
Erica--really? AMC lets you? That's awesome!
Too bad I have a bazillion Harkins near me and the closest AMC is by you guys!
That's nothing! I usually pop two bags of popcorn and stuff them into a huge purse. Yes, it is "against the rules" but hey - they are the criminals charging $22.50 for a large popcorn and a drink! Hope you had fun!!
Erica's right, I've brought my own drink in and they didn't say anything at the AMC--they rock!! I do the Walgreen's candy thing too, it's cheaper and I got 3 kids I gotta buy for, plus Alan.
