Fall Break is here!

That means 2 weeks of free housecleaning cuz the boys are home! Woo-hoo!!

I kid, I kid.

Actually, they are loving their break already since the weather has finally permitted their bodies to stay outside longer than 15 minutes without cooking their internal organs. They literally go outside to play around 1:30 and don't come in until 6:30. With the exception of food and water breaks, of course. But even then, the eating is done outside.

They have a lot of neighborhood friends that come to play, and my house usually looks like party central since I don't allow my kids to go anywhere but my front and backyard. They don't seem to mind most of the time because with the courtyard and open garage, there's lots of hiding places for games of hide-and-go-seek.

I missed them playing outside, getting dirty and smelling like the sun. This is good for them. The running, the laughing, the arguing, the compromising. Even Clemmie likes to be out there, in the midst of all the chaos. Once I take her out there she's like the neighborhood sideshow, every little girl within 20 meters runs up to her in hopes of getting a hug from Sebbie's little sister. She likes the attention for about one minute, then as usual, fights desperately for her space. I warn them. SHE WILL HIT. They don't take my warning very seriously.

They have no idea who they're messing with.

So yes, fall break is most definitely here.

And if I could (which I probably will) arrange a soundtrack for these next two weeks, the first song on the playlist would definitely be this one.  Sebastian thinks Weird Al is a genius and tries to memorize all the words. He's pretty much got them down, and I have to admit, this video is pretty darn awesome. I just have to remind him that Weird Al is just being funny and to please NOT say these lyrics in school......

Hi there,
I didn't know kids have Fall break, but that's nice. You will love Amber if you work with her on your header etc.
By the way, we are friends with the bass player for Weird Al!! He is so entertaining.
Have a great day!
