....at least that's what it feels like. And now December is here. He must've rushed to the front of the line, pushing and kicking his way past October and November like nobody's business, because he got here WAY TOO FAST THIS YEAR.
This first of December was supposed to bring me some good company with friends. But of course I came down with Ethan's cold last night and have throat and nose issues. yuck. So because said friends will have their babies with them, I'll probably stay home so I don't scare the other mommies with my nasally voice that screams she's sick, that means Clemmie is sick. Um, why is she here??? Which sucks, because I was really looking forward to some girl talk today. Maybe it'll clear in the next hour.....
Fat chance.
So now I have to decide what my day is going to be like since this playdate isn't going to work out.
Let's see, laundry is always there to fill the "I'm bored" slot. Always there. Alwaaaays. But that can be done throughout the day, it's not like I have to sit and watch the clothes get soaked and scrubbed. So laundry is kinda awesome that way (I can't even believe I just put the words laundry and awesome in the same sentence - wow). Got one task on my list! Then I suppose I'll clean the kitchen, because when that's done, the whole place feels clean. And it just feels good when things are clean and I don't feel the last three meals my kids have eaten on my bare feet.
I recently started working on clearing out the kids' playroom so I can turn it into a bedroom for Ethan. I'm so close. If I finish today, we can put his bed in this weekend! I really am excited about this. We had the boys share a room for the past two years under the premise that it would make them learn compromise and respect for the other's property. haha! They fought every single day over the most insignificant matters. Now that we've moved Ethan into the guest room, that fighting has reduced by at least 50%. Now, THAT'S AWESOME and totally worth all the time it's taking sorting out the mountains of broken action figures and tiny Lego pieces found all over the floor of the room.
Maybe that'll be my job for the day.
But....
Clemmie does needs shoes.
I suppose I should go to the mall. Striderite and Nordstrom have the cutest kids shoes.....
I also need a new mascara from Sephora - I loved the Bare Essentials one from last time, but maybe I'll go back to Blackout from Dior - it seemed to last so much longer. Too bad they don't sell them at Walgreens down the street because yunno, that would be so much more fun than having to go to the mall for these essentials.
I might as well get some people off my Santa list while I'm there....
It's all in the name of Christmas. Hey, it's December 1st, why not celebrate?
Just for fun: my babies.
11/09
Gosh, I'm totally in love with them.
Even this picture makes me want to eat them all up!
